FAQ

What is an R.H.N.?

R.H.N. stands for Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

Holistic Nutritionist graduates are dedicated professionals who follow specific principles and a Code of Ethics. They are trained to look at each person as a whole; including health history, lifestyle habits and the interrelationship of mind, body and spirit. They are qualified to create a personalized program for your needs.

Holistic practitioners do not treat diseases or their symptoms and they do not have a quick “fix” but rather focus on educating individuals about the health benefits of natural nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices which will stay with you for the long run.

What can a Nutritionist do for me?

A nutritionist can help identify and correct nutritional health imbalances.

As biodiverse as we all are, you may have certain needs that your body is not getting enough of, which could affect other areas of your life: energy, mental state, digestion, skin, hair and nail health and even our mood.

A holistic nutritionist will design a personalized diet and lifestyle program according to your individual needs, to optimize health.

There are so many different types of diets out there right now. What do they mean and should I be following any of them?

Great question!

I have a more comprehensive answer on some of the most popular current diets and what they could mean for you. Take a look right here!

Is there a general health or food rule I can follow so I don’t have to go through the process of educating myself or having to see a Nutritionist?

As explained in my “different diets” blog, everyone is biochemically distinct and has different needs for their body and lifestyle. Having said that, there is a typical way of eating healthy which essentially consists of eating home-cooked nutrient rich meals, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and balancing macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat).

There are also certain foods that are safe to say everyone should avoid, primarily sugar and processed foods with preservatives and chemical additives.

Depending on your individual needs and concerns however, you may need a more detailed plan which a professional nutritionist can provide.

Do you offer remote sessions and consultations?
